HOW-TO GUIDE
Please make sure to read the entire instructions carefully before you start and use in-combination with the guide you received in your kit. Then follow each step one by one to obtain your samples. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to hello@myremi.com

02. Register your test kit online
A. Scan the QR code on your included activation card to activate your test kit and synch it with your REMI account. That way, we can track your samples in our lab.
B. Create or log into your REMI account on www.myremi.com.
Type in the 9-digit test ID number to connect your test kit to your account. You can find the ID number on the activation card, too.
C. Follow the registration instructions on your screen.
Important: If you forget to activate your test or don’t send us your test ID number, we can’t process your samples.
D. Please make sure to follow every step of these instructions very carefully so we can analyse your blood sample correctly.
Important: If it’s warmer than 25°C outside, bring your completed samples to the post office right away, as they’re sensitive to heat.
Either way, send us your samples back on the same day and check that the mailbox is emptied on that day, too.
03. Give yourself a warm-up
Place your non-dominant hand in a container filled with warm water for at least two minutes while making sure the whole hand is submerged. Dry your hand off once done.
Tip: You can also do some jumping jacks to further increase your blood flow to the hand.
Important: Your hand needs to be properly warmed to ensure a steady blood flow for the sample.
A. Before you start, prepare with these steps:
Open the blood sample container and place it in the designated sample holder hole in the packaging.
Open one of the lancets and place it on a spread out clean tissue.
Use the alcohol wipe to clean the tip of your middle finger on the hand you’ve warmed up in step 2.
04. Blood Sample
B. Place your sample finger on a flat surface, with your fingertip facing you.
Press the lancet into your fingertip until you feel a pinch and can see a drop of blood form at the incision.
Wipe away the first drop of blood with the tissue.
C. Stand up and stretch your arm, holding your finger right above the blood sample container.
Gently stroke your bleeding finger in a downwards motion to ensure a steady blood flow into the sample container.
Hold your finger over the container until it is filled to the second line (500 microlitres).
Important: Don’t press on your finger too hard, as this can stop the blood flow.
Tip: If your finger stops to bleed before the sample is complete, use the second lancet to prick a second disinfected finger. Only use each lancet once.
05. Close your blood sample
D. Clean your finger with a tissue.
Put the plaster over the incision to stop the bleeding.
E. Close the container with your sample by pushing down the lid until you hear a click.
Place your sample inside the protective sample case for posting.
06. Urine sample
A. Unfold the urine sample cup and urinate inside it.
Take the pipette to transfer urine into the urine sample container. Make sure the urine sample reaches the marked line.
Important: Do not pour out the stabilization liquid.
B. Close the urine sample container and turn it upside down and back five times.
07. Post your samples
A. Place these items in your sample return envelope:
The activation card with the 9-digit ID number
Blood sample
Urine sample.
B. Post the return envelope in a Deutsche Post postbox.
The return is free so no need for a stamp!
Track your test kit in your REMI account.
Your results will be ready 48 hours after we receive your samples.
